Daytrips

The Värmland region as well as the neighboring provinces invite you to one-day or multi-day trips. The idyllic coastal village of Smögen is highly recommended. The fishing village on the west coast is connected to the mainland via a bridge (Smögenbron). Just before the bridge is a small parking lot, which offers a breathtaking view. Free parking spots can be found on the outskirts of the small town. Smögenbryggan invites you to stroll, wander and marvel. Also recommended is the typical Swedish Räksmörgås, a bread topped with shrimp. At the end of the wooden promenade you find the famous colorful fishermen's huts. In summer, you can sunbathe or go swimming at the granite rocks along the water. Smögen is about three hours to drive (southwest) from Foxen Resort. The coastal route is especially impressive, with great views in addition to the typical west coast flair. Especially Grebbestad and Fjällbacka are recommended. On the way there are also some moose parks. Here you can observe the majestic animals in their natural habitat and even feed them with apples.
