  • The Dalsland Canal is an artificial waterway that connects lake Vänern with several other lakes in Dalsland and western Värmland. In between you will find some locks. The canal is perfect for canoeing (can be rented on site) or cruising through by boat.

 

  • There are also other locks: Lennartsfors lock, Töcksfors lock, Gustavsfors lock, which are impressive.

 

  • At Mosserud Gård there is the possibility to make wonderful horse riding tours (perfect for families and groups). Mosserud Gård horse tours

 

  • Stand-up paddling (SUP) allows you to have a different view of the lake landscape. The SUPs can be rented from Camping och Fritid in Töcksfors.

 

  • The bath and fitness center in Ärjäng is ideal for rainy days. Here you can have a good workout.

  • The Borgasgubben is a stature. It was built of loose stones and makes a man with a hat appear. It stands on the Borgåsen Gifel in Källtegen.   • Bu Sten is a stone and is situated by the wayside on Kallbufjället. According to the legend something terrible happened at this place. On Christmas Eve in the 17th century.

 

  • The Nordic Trotting Museum has focused its exhibition on horses and the history of trotting.

 

  • Ärjängstrollet is an 8m tall troll. In it there is a tourist office.

 

  • Sjöänd's entrenchment is a defensive structure and was built during the Second World War. The entrenchment is located in the nature reserve Glaskogen.

 

  • In the surroundings of Töckfors and Årjäng there are a number of churches, for example Fågelviks church. It is situated on a peninsula in lake Foxen and was built between 1859- 1860.

 

  • The sculpture walk between the villages of Årjäng and Kyrkerud Folk High School is impressive. The sculptures are made of granite from Bohus. It extends over a length of 3km.
